OK.. this is the deal. ONE favourite you can pick.. don't go out of your way to think of songs you don't have favourites for.. I know it's unfair since they changed so much over periods of time, but it's my rules :]

Darkstar: 8/27/72

GDTRFB: 8/22/72

Mississippi Halfstep: 9/11/73 (yes that's right, it beat out 5/25/77)

Eyes of the world: 12/18/73 (without a doubt)

Help>Slip>Frank: 5/22/77 (beat out 6/9/77, and 5/9/77)

Jack Straw: 10-29-77, without a freakin' doubt

Scarlet: 5/21/74

China>Rider: 9/11/73.. very very inspired jerry leads..

What are your guys!! Sorry, as you can see, I have not got into the 80's and 90's much.. it's not that I haven't listened, it's that I have not made it my primary listening, enough to be able to draw "favourites" from my memory

Certainly some winnahs here.

I'd have to go with the sequence from LIVE/DEAD--the 2-27 Star Stephen and the Avalon Eleven Lovelight because I grew up on them. But I also love 2-13-70 and 3-01-69 and . . . .

Hard to Handle 4-28-71 (Bam!)

Good Lovin' 4-14-72. Best jamming, 4-26-72

Lovelight- 4-27-71, 9-20-70

Smokestack Lightning 2-13-70 (but I've yet to hear a bad one).

Kingbee: 4-28-71

Easy Wind 9-20-70

Dark Star - Can't do it! I'd be here all day

Eyes - Ditto. But 2-15-73 pops into my head a lot

China>Rider 5-19-74. This one I can say for certainty

I'm sorry I just can't!

You know what would be much easier for me is to pick out the songs I never like. Not very many of them. Allmost exclusively all Brent and Vince tunes with only a couple of exceptions for Brent.

oh wow, this 10-28-79 half step is amazing. I haven't heard such a long solo, with all the band members interacting and soloing before the "across the rio grandio" part.. They just started it right now :) i hope there's a blistering solo after it

NFA -} GDTRFB Skullfuck. Photofinish with DP 2.

Slipknot DP 3 Facemeltsville.

Scar -} Fire 05-08-77 Close my eyes and those flyin boulders
keep getting bigger and closer together. I feel like I did as a child after eating those morning glory flowers that used to get you high, but I didn't know it. I didn't know what high was. Nikki's older sister just said eat these flowers, it's okay. We had so much fun playing in the sun and running around. A day seemed to last a year.

Masterpiece Dozin' at the Knick.

Sugaree 09-18-87 MSG The crowd helped alot.

Playin' The Field Trip. 08-27-72

GSET The Field Trip.

He's Gone 06-25-92 Chicago. Best smile,smile,smile ever.

Soundcheck 07-27-73 Watkins Glen.

Jack Straw 07-24-87 VftV 4. You gotta see it.

Other One 08-24-68 The Shrine, L.A. Two from the Vault.

Bird Song The Field Trip

Deep Elem Reconing

Stranger Dead Set

Space (not the song) 1985.

China -} Rider I heard an awesome recommended version from someone on here but I lost it. Thanks for the memories though. That was my favorite. Can't remember the year or even the time period. How stupid.

T. Jed Europe '72 The "build up" solo at the end.

Estimated and Terrapin 06-28-85 Hershey, PA.

Dp 2 is the most perfect DP.

Thanks for asking. I had fun.
